Hey y'all! My name is Candie and I am the owner of Southern Sass DIY & Decor LLC. Originally I started making hair bows and custom shirts but after a while I started to have great interest in wood signs and building stuff. After plenty of research and trial and error, I have finally found what works for me and now I am happy to be able to share all my expertise so you can make the same things.
Up until I opened the DIY Studio I was a stay at home mom. My husband and I have 9 children and 3 grandchildren. No they all don't live with us! Four of our children have grown up and live on their own. We still have 5 at home. Our youngest is 4 so it will be a long while before we are empty nesters. I have always been an avid crafter and loved making beautiful things. I have discovered that making home decor is not only fun but rewarding. Since my husband retired about two years ago I made it my mission to learn as much as I could about power tools and working with wood. He has taught me so much and I have learned so much from some pretty amazing people. Now I hope to share that with you. I guarantee you will love it just as much as I do.
